
I like the website of the New York-based non-profit Transporation Alternatives in comparison to other less-effective non-profit websites (such as local animal shelters). I like the extra "donate" button in addition to the donate text link. I like the sections ("Get Involved"; "Issues") and how they invite the user to join the cause.

Drop-down menus can be ugly or clumsy, but I like how the website of the design museum Cooper Hewitt uses them.

I like the subtle difference between a typical newspaper or news magazine website and The Intercept. Instead of a masthead, they use a flyout menu. And I like the parallax (?) scrolling that occurs with headlines and images scrolling at differing rates.
